A short summary of our cool customers and their awesome achievements this year.

So far, it’s been a pretty busy 2019 for our customers! Here’s a round-up of what some of you have been up to over the past nine months.

Back in February, the best of East Anglia’s tourism industry were recognised at the annual Norfolk and Suffolk Tourism Awards. Congratulations to Alde Garden for taking home the Eco-Tourism Award – a well-deserved prize for their focus on sustainability.

The Suffolk Food & Drink Awards proved a success too, as The Northgate’s awesome chef Moraine Pepper won Young Chef of the Year. The Black Lion, also part of the Chestnut Group, was runner-up for Sawday’s Pub of the Year 2019, and Philip Turner, Founder and Managing Director of the Group, was named as Industry Titan in Boutique Hotelier’s 2019 Power List.

In August, The Times picked their favourite summer pubs in Britain – and we were delighted to see The Packhorse and The Red Lion Alnmouth named on this list. The Mash Inn was also shortlisted for a foodie accolade in the Food and Travel Awards 2019 – the results of which are announced later this month (we’re keeping our fingers crossed). Not to be outdone, The Greyhound were included in the Good Beer Guide 2020 for the third year running. Impressive work!

Up north, the Lingholm Estate won Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year in the 2019 Cumbria Tourism Awards, whilst both Riverside Escape and Avondale Guest House were named amongst TripAdvisor’s Top 25 B&Bs in the UK

Dingle Marsh Barns were also recognised by TripAdvisor – taking home a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2019 for the fifth year in a row, meaning they’ve now been added to the Hall of Fame. The Mill Long Melford were also awarded a 2019 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, as well as receiving an awesome 9.9 rating on Booking.com. Not only that, but they were featured as a great place for a British Break by the Sunday Times too.

Elsewhere, the Hideout Hotel in Hull was shortlisted in the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards under the self-catering category, and Heaton House was named as a finalist under the Barn Wedding Venue category of the Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards. Feather Cotswold Cottages were awarded Airbnb Superhost Status for the fourth time, and No 61 Winchombe received a Booking.com award for outstanding guest reviews.

Phew!

Congratulations to all of our customers for such awesome work throughout the year! Please continue to Tweet us @InnStyleHQ whenever you have some news to share, and we’ll happily help you spread the word.
