Google Reviews: the new TripAdvisor?

In a previous post, we discussed why you’d be a fool to underestimate the TripAdvisor generation. And we still think there’s some truth in what we wrote back then. But given that people are becoming more reliant on Google Reviews, it's essential that your Google Business listing is up to scratch too.

Here's a quick checklist that'll help you get started:

  1. First up, claim your Google Business listing
  2. Make sure it’s correctly linked to your website.
  3. Add the right phone number and address details. (You don’t want guests to turn up elsewhere by mistake.)
  4. Specify your amenities, so people can easily see what they need to know.
  5. Give a brief overview of your property that highlights its location and what it's best known for.
  6. Use the questions section to add and clarify any FAQs. It's a great way to engage with guests, too.
  7. Ask guests to leave you a Google review. If you send a post-stay email, simply include a link to your Google Business page alongside the link to your TripAdvisor listing.

Now sit back, relax, and watch the reviews roll in!
